I love the camaraderie and the encouragement of all the members in the gym, both men and women. The coaches really take their time to get to know each individual’s strengths and weaknesses and push you just far enough. There’s nothing like hearing “add more weight to the bar” from Coach Brian and receiving that smile from him when I accomplish a new PR on a lift. I am also becoming a “cool mom” and role model for my kids. My 6-year old daughter said to me, “That was cool mom when you did those handstands. I didn’t know you could do that.” Or when she sees the calluses on my hands and realizes that mom can swing from the monkey bars too (pull up bars in my case). Thank you CrossFit Flood and all of the members that continue to push me forward!
This is an awesome gym! I have been going here for about a month now. All the coaches have been very welcoming and helpful. I was nervous to start Crossfit but I am glad I did! Every day is challenging and motivating. Take advantage of the free trial week and you will love it! Mike and Brian are awesome guys!
I’ve been coming here for about 2.5 – 3 years now. The coaches are great, the programming is excellent, and the community is very close. CrossFit Flood will have many community events throughout the year such as the summer competition day within the gym called “Flood, Sweat, and Beers”, the annual Christmas party, and more. These events help the community grow even closer and help members meet each other who otherwise would never have met. The members who usually go to the 4pm class will get to meet members they may not have met because they go to the 6:30am class. No one has ever been judgmental against me. Quite the opposite in fact, this gym is nothing but encouraging. I once finished a workout that took me much longer than everyone else, and everyone stuck around and encouraged me until I finished.
