The Coaches and owners are very good people who really stress the importance of proper form over how much weight you can lift. Over time you will be doing more than you ever though possible pushing yourself to reach the next level. My favorite part of this gym is the sense of community and great friendships. With lots of events(Flood, Sweat, Beers) it is easy to feel part of a team every time you go. It doesn’t matter if you are a Beast in the gym or have never lifted anything in your life I have never felt judged or put down here. This is a great gym and more than that an amazing community.
Since joining CrossFit, I’ve reached a level of fitness I didn’t know I had in me, and I’m NEVER bored. Although I’m not a competitive person, the group atmosphere still motivates me, because I’m with people I respect and enjoy. The encouragement and camaraderie of CrossFit Flood and the CrossFit community as a whole are amazing. I’ll never go back to a traditional gym!
It was the first time I was able to work out and give 100% while not feeling weird for making grunting noises, or have to apologize for leaving a trail of sweat behind me. It was great to compete against the others in my class and engage in camaraderie as a result of the extremely difficult workout we endured together. My hands were getting torn apart, my shins scraped up, and I was sore in places that I didn’t know muscles existed – and I loved every minute of it. Listen to me, I sound like a beast. Well I assure you I’m not, but I definitely feel like one after completing a WOD.
