Crossfit has changed my exercise experience. For the first time ever,working out is not a chore; I look forward to going to the gym. The variety of exercise is tremendous. We do so many different things I have no opportunity to get bored or in a routine. I like the discipline of selecting the days I work out and accepting the posted exercise routine for that day – it makes me challenge and push myself in ways I have not before.
Before I joined CrossFit Flood in the summer of 2012, I was a member of 24 Hour Fitness. All I cared about was lifting weights and getting bigger. When I first started CrossFit, I was afraid of getting weaker since many of the workouts are so cardio heavy. Not only did I get stronger, I also increased my cardiovascular endurance substantially.
I have been part of the CrossFit Flood family since March of 2010. When I first started CrossFit I was nervous and out of shape. I knew the stigma about CrossFit and was not sure I was ready for this type of intensity. What I found was a community open to every ability level. The encouragement to give each workout my best yet work at my own ability has been incredible. I now have great friends who I look forward to seeing each week. I know they will be both encouraging and push me to do the best I can. CrossFit Flood is the only gym I have ever found with this type of community.
